01 / Why solar

Surveillance
without mains power

No connection, no generator, no fuel runs: the energy comes from the site itself. Autonomous surveillance of a remote site stops being a project within the project.

No connection, no groundworks

The tower arrives, is stabilised and deploys. No trenching, no cabling, no waiting for a hook-up: surveillance without mains power covers the site from day one, even before any connection exists.

No fuel, no logistics runs, zero emissions

No generator dedicated to video: no refuelling, no engine maintenance, no noise, no on-site emissions. The environmental footprint of the system can be measured, and proven.

Free deployment, at the site's own pace

Set down by crane or forklift, picked up just as fast: the solar site tower follows the phases of the works, redeploys from one area to the next and leaves no trace at the end of the assignment.

The mast deploys: no power supply to arrange.
At night, the watch continues on battery alone.

03 / The unbroken chain

Four steps,
one unbroken chain

  1. 01

    Detect

Thermal and optical cameras, radars and sensors analyse the site continuously. AI classifies what it sees, human or vehicle, and rules out up to 95 % of false alarms.

  2. 02

    Verify

Every alarm goes for immediate video verification, 24/7, at the APSAD P5 certified remote monitoring station. A qualified human looks before anyone acts.

  3. 03

    Deter

White and red strobe lights, audible warnings up to 110 dB: intruders know they have been seen, before anyone arrives. Most intrusions stop right there.

  4. 04

    Respond

As the response plan dictates: on-site or on-call guard, on-call management and, if necessary, the police. The chain is written in advance and unfolds without improvisation.

04 / Use cases

Wherever power is missing,
risk is not

  • Solar and wind farms

Video surveillance of a solar farm powered by the energy it produces: rows, substations and access points covered, without a single cable.

  • Energy infrastructure

Substations, structures under construction, pipelines: surveillance arrives before the grid connection, and stays after.

  • Construction sites in remote areas

Where neither mains power nor fuel logistics can follow, the solar site tower lives on sunlight alone, at the pace of the works.

  • Linear and railway corridors

Work bases, rail and sleeper stockpiles, long corridors: one tower per sensitive point, set down and picked up without groundworks.

  • Farming and livestock

Machinery, fuel, crops and buildings: an autonomous, discreet watch, with nothing to install.

  • Vacant sites

Brownfields, buildings awaiting use, sites without activity: the power is cut off, autonomous surveillance of the remote site never is.

05 / Which tower for your site

Three ranges,
one operator

The right system comes down to a simple question: does your site have power? Either way, the same operated MAGENGARD chain responds behind it.

HELIGARD

The choice for sites without power

  • Solar and wind farms
  • Linear and remote corridors
  • Farming areas and vacant sites
  • Areas with seasonal access restrictions

100 % solar: no connection, no fuel, free deployment.

OMNIGARD

Power and long range

  • Construction sites with power on hand
  • Depots and logistics platforms
  • Powered industrial sites

Where 230 V or a generator already exists, OMNIGARD reaches further.

PYROGARD

Early fire detection

  • Hot spots picked up before smoke
  • 24/7 thermal watch
  • The fire complement to both ranges

For fire risk, PYROGARD thermal watch completes the system.

06 / The operated service

An operated service,
not just delivered hardware

HELIGARD is not hardware sold on its own. It is an autonomous surveillance service, operated end to end by a security professional.

Every alarm is checked immediately by video verification at the APSAD P5 certified remote monitoring station, the French benchmark certification for alarm receiving centres, operating 24/7, which, according to the response plan, dispatches the on-site or on-call guard, alerts the on-call management and, if necessary, calls the police. The whole service (supply, deployment, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, removal) is delivered by MAGENGARD under its sole contractual responsibility and its CNAPS operating licence, with a single point of contact for the client.

How an alarm unfolds

  1. Intrusion detected

Cameras, radars and sensors: AI qualifies the target and rules out false alarms.

  2. Video verification

APSAD P5 certified remote monitoring station, 24/7. Immediate viewing of the images.

  3. Immediate alerts

    • 4G/5G notification on smartphones
    • Report to the monitoring station
    • On-site deterrence: strobes, audio
  4. Response as planned

    • On-site or on-call guard
    • On-call management
    • The police, if necessary

Field experience
Our solar systems are deployed on energy infrastructure work sites in south-west France, with surveillance maintained throughout access restriction windows in wildfire-risk areas, in line with the prefectoral DFCI wildfire protocols, and 24/7 multi-position monitoring. The know-how of a multi-project operator.
The balance of human plus machine
The tower does not replace the guard: it keeps watch where posting someone around the clock would make no sense, and the guard acts where the machine cannot. That balance yields savings of up to 60 % on the overall surveillance budget.
The environmental case
Solar power, no generator dedicated to video, paperless reporting: the surveillance system fits into the site's environmental footprint, with figures to prove it.

08 / FAQ

Straight questions,
straight answers

What happens after several days without sun?

The lithium batteries take over: HELIGARD ONE runs for 5 days without sun in 24/7 surveillance on its 5.2 kWh batteries, and can also switch to 230 V mains where the site has it. On HELIGARD EVO, three panels of over 1,100 W facing east, south and west harvest energy from morning to night. The state of charge is monitored remotely by our teams: the system is adapted before any interruption.

Does the tower work in winter?

Yes. The sizing is designed for short days: oversized panels facing east, south and west, buffer batteries for several days without sun, equipment built for outdoor use all year round. Monitoring tracks production and charge continuously, winter included.

How is it different from OMNIGARD?

HELIGARD is the choice for sites with no power available: 100 % solar, no connection, no fuel. OMNIGARD is the choice for power and long range where 230 V or a generator already exists on site. Both ranges share the same operated chain: 24/7 video verification, alerts, response.

What about the GDPR and informing the public?

The system is operated under the French internal security code and the GDPR: signage on site, recordings limited to 30 days then overwritten, access restricted to authorised staff only, and a processing register maintained by MAGENGARD. Access rights can be exercised via contact@magengard.fr.

What are the deployment lead times?

A quotation within one working day. Delivery anywhere in France, installation without groundworks: the tower is set down, configured and connected to the monitoring station on installation day, then redeployed at your site's pace.

What does the rental cover?

Everything: supply, deployment, configuration, maintenance, monitoring and removal at the end of the assignment. The whole service is delivered by MAGENGARD under its sole contractual responsibility, with a single point of contact for the client. Pricing on request.
